Below, you have a list of 7 foods which you should never reheat, no matter how much hungry you are. Check them out!

  1. Beets

Beets shouldn’t be reheated as they contain nitrates. Reheating beets can cause a lot of trouble, so it is best to eat them cold if there are any leftovers.

  1. Spinach

Just like beets, spinach also contains nitrates.  When reheated, nitrates are converted into nitrites which are carcinogenic. Therefore, spinach should be always eaten fresh and reheating is not a safe option.

  1. Chicken

Chicken contains protein whose structure changes when reheated. It may cause digestive issues and serious damage to the organism. It is recommended to eat it cold or reheat it over a very low temperature, as chicken contains much more protein than red meat.

  1. Eggs

It is better to eat them cold than reheat them, as reheated fried or boiled eggs are extremely detrimental.

Reheating mushrooms is the worst thing you can do, as it may result in digestive and even heart issues. Therefore, eat them either right after cooking or cold. Avoid reheating them as much as possible.

  1. Potato

Potatoes are extremely versatile and go way in most dishes. We can use them in many different ways and enjoy a delicious meal. However, it is important to eat them the same day we cook them in order to preserve their nutrients. Reheating potatoes the next day makes them harmful and even dangerous for the organism.

  1. Celery

Last but not least, celery is yet another produce which contains nitrates, later converted into nitrites. Celery is mainly used in soups and we often tend to make larger amount of it so that it can be used for a couple of days. However, this is a very big mistake, as reheating the celery is dangerous thing to do. Therefore, in case you need to reheat the soup, make sure you remove the celery. The same rule applies for carrots.
